In this presentation, I’ll provide an overview of the different types of contracts between artist and gallery. This will include an overview of the formats, with pros and cons of each. Different types of contracts will be defined ie; consignment and representation. Details of what to expect in a contract; contract clauses that are good practice and should be agreed to, and clauses to be aware of that might raise red flags. Finally, we'll discuss the one important clause in a contract that is often overlooked.

The presentation will provide a context regarding why or why not to edition, the common edition models, the common pricing models and how they affect your place in the fine art market.
